Fantasy Football sucks

Finally getting around to bitching about this season. The past 4 weeks have been brutal in my money league. Lost 4 weeks in a row. One week by 0.5 points.

This past week was a killer. Lost by 4.0 points. Had Gore going last night. he was on pace to rush for about 150 yards, then got hurt. Also adding to misery was Peyton Manning throwing 4 picks and missing 300 passing yards by 15 yards. Take one of those picks away and I'm sure he would have finished with 300 yards.

The real killer was Steve Johnson dropping that TD pass in the end zone. First, I'm a Bills fan and beating the Steelers would have been sweet. Second, that had he caught that TD pass I would have scored 10 more points this week and would have clinched a play-off spot.

Now I need to win this week without Gore or have 2 teams behind me lose. I hate fantasy football.

I also need to replace Gore. More choices: Goodson (CAR), Bush (NO), Brown (IND) or Choice (DAL). Any suggestions?

O.K., I've pretty much given up on this site. Sure I could bore you with the fact last season I won 2 out of my 3 fantasy football leagues, and how my fantasy basketball team, or about my fantasy baseball team, but I don feel like it.

instead I'm going to rant. I work in an office building, and just lets say the dress code here is way too casual. So if I see anymore guys here wearing sandals or fucking shorts I'm going to snap. Put on a pair of shoes and pants like a man. We work in an office, you are not a gym teacher and we are not at the beach. Seriously, fuck off.

Once fantasy football starts I'm sure I'll post more often so the 3 or 4 people that stumble by here can have something to look at.

Well now that we are a month into the season i can start bitching. I'll start off with my first round draft picks.

I'm in 3 fantasy baseball leagues because I'm crazy like that. I'll break down my first rounders.

Walkoff Walk League (20 teams) = Mark Teixeira (16 overall)
Roto league = Ryan Howard (9)
$ league = Ryan Braun (8)

You can probably guess where I'm going with this. Teixeira has been a huge disappointment. He is hitting under .200 and has left more men on base than I care to think about. Add to this that I'm a huge Yankees fan and this pick makes me very very bitter.

As far as the other rounds go here are my best picks so far:
Walkoff Walk League (20 teams) = Marco Scutaro (336). yes, he has been very productive. Look at his numbers, great value so far for such a late pick.
Roto league = Johan Santana (12). Not much of a steal.
$ league = Evan Longoria (17) at this point I would have to consider him a steal at #17 overall.

Well, fantasy basketball season is over and it is onto fantasy baseball.

In my money league i finished 6th in my other league set up by ognihs over at jackass list I finished 7th. Jason Kidd was my $ team's high scorer so enjoy the Maverick cheerleader.

My $ league is a keeper league so I'll be asking for some advice before next season.

I'll try to write about some fantasy baseball if I feel like it.

This has nothing to do with fantasy sports but it is a complaint.

I'm sick of hearing people bad mouth the NIT. It is a very good tournament with a boat load of good teams. For those that bash the NIT please realize that half of the NIT teams are better than at least 10 shitty auto bid teams that make the tourny every year.

Creighton, St. Mary's, and Davidson plus others would make the NCAA tournament more competitive than having teams like Cornell, Binghamton and Morehead St. will.

Well I'm finally getting off my ass to write about fantasy hoops. I'm in 2 Leagues. I'm in a keeper league. My team is currently in 3rd place. This is a roto league. I let my heart get the best of me and I kept Lamar Odom over Manu Ginobli and Andre Miller. We got to keep 6 players from last season. I kept:

From time to time over at Walk Off Walk, the comments turn to talk of food. Yesterday hamburgers were being discussed. So I've decided to list my top 5 favorite hamburger chains.

5. 5 Guys
4. Checkers
3. Carls' Jr.
2. Whataburger
1. In-N-Out

The kick in the ass about this list is that only 5 Guys is available where I live. If I want In-N-Out I have to go to Cali, Nevada, or Arizona. Whataburger is in a bunch of states but only in the South and Southwest.

So not only do I have to put up with shitty weather here in upstate NY, I also have to deal with shitty fast food. Seriously, who do I have to kill up here for a Chipolte?

I won't bore everyone with the details.

$ League: 3rd place finish thanks to Ryan Grant last night. No thanks to Kurt Warner on Sunday.

Keeper/Salary Cap League: Super Bowl champ! First time in this league that I've been a member of since 2005. Even more amazing is the fact that I won 1 game all of last year in this league. From worst to first. I was down 8 pts going into last night. But thanks to Rodgers and Jennings I won by 16 pts.

Thanks to everyone that commented during the season. I will start talking fantasy hoops next week.

Too Close to Call

O.K., here is an update on my 3rd place game in my money league and championship game in my keeper league.

$ League: I'm up 3.5 points which is amazing considering Kurt Warner was in my line-up yesterday. I have Grant and Crosby playing tonight and my opponent has Gould kicking for the Bears.

The championship game of my $ League was crazy. The winner was down 53.5 points going into last nights game. He won with Williams and Jacobs in his line-up. Huge comeback. Did I mention that the two guys in the championship game are brothers.

Keeper/Salary Cap League: I'm down 8 points with Rodgers and Jennings going for me tonight and my opponent done. I still have a few bullets left.

Week 16 Early Returns

$ League: Well last night wash essentially a wash. My team ,G&G Birds, had Rhodes and Clark in the line up. Normally this would be great news except my opponent had Wayne and MJD in his line-up which gives him a 1.6 point lead at the moment.

Keeper/Salary Cap League: Like my $ League team I had Rhodes and Clark in my line-up and my opponent had no one, so I'm out to a huge lead but I'm not celebrating yet.

Also, 1-0 for the week on my best bets thanks to Indy barely covering the 6.5 pt spread last night.

College Bowl Pick'em Reminder

O.K., there is less than a week to join my league and there are only 4 people signed up. I know my blog stinks and I'm not very popular but, this will at least keep games like the International and EagleBank Bowls interesting. I'm hoping to get at least 10 people signed up. Most of my friends could care less about college football and are degenerate gamblers so aren't interested if there is no money involved.

Week 15 Recap

$ League: After the G & G Birds sneaked into the play-offs as the #4 seed, I lost to the #1 seed and that was with my buddy sitting Pierre Thomas and Andre Johnson this week. It could have been a lot worse, but a loss is a loss.

The kick in the ass about this week was that I would have beaten both the #2 and #3 seeds. Onto the 3rd place game with a chance to still break even money wise in this league. I finished 4th in this league last year and out of the money so if it happens again I will be very bitter.

The weather report for the N.E.-Arizona game is already making me nervous. Also, the possibility of Addai and Rhodes splitting carries on Thursday night is also making me nervous. I hope Addai sits this one out.

Keeper/Salary Cap League: Well it's off to the championship game. My #3 seeded Upstate Underdogs will face the #4 seeded team. My team kicked ass thanks to me picking up Dominic Rhodes. The kick in the ass about this league is that we just play for bragging rights, so at the end of the day it would be nice to win it but I will be no richer for it.

This is f--ked up

So I decide to check on my $ league last night out to see if my buddy started Pierre Thomas. So I'm looking and I notice that I am now in the playoffs. What the fuck?

Apparently the NY Giants had a sack taken away. Remember earlier this week when I told you I lost by a half point? Well I ended up winning by a half point because the guy I had "lost" to had the NYG defense. Sucks for my buddy who thought he was in the play-offs, but I don't feel too bad because I had a higher scoring team than him and so did another guy who didn't make the play-offs.

The bad news: I didn't check until last night because I thought my season was over and still had Lance Moore in my line-up.
The good news: My buddy I'm going up against did not start P. Thomas last night.
